Intro: There are a number of iPad business apps available that let corporate users transform their tablets into lightweight work slates. Citrix' GoToMyPC for iPad, the mobile version of the popular remote access software, lets you control your desktop while away from your Mac or PC. The free app works in conjunction with the desktop version of GoToMyPC and a wireless connection to keep you productive on the go. The app works as advertised—I was able to control my work PC from a distance—but it could benefit from a more responsive interaction with the host computer...
Final words: GoToMyPC for iPad is a solid application for controlling your Mac or PC remotely, but there are issues present that need to be addressed. Latency needs to be reduced, and the lack of multitasking will be a major ding for some—hopefully those negatives will be removed with the upcoming update. Still, GoToMyPC for iPad is a useful app for accessing your desktop in a pinch.

Intro: The iPad is an awesome mobile computing tool, and it can take the place of a PC for most tasks, but when push comes to shove, it's still not a PC. Citrix is bridging that gap, though, by enabling users to remotely connect to and work with their PC on the go from an iPad using the GoToMyPC for iPad app...
Final words: I think that it would be awesome to have GoToMyPC running on my laptop as an insurance plan. If I happen to be roaming about with my iPad and suddenly need access to applications or data on my laptop, it would be nice to jump in remotely and get it. I haven't decided yet, though, if that peace of mind is worth a month.

Intro: If you like the idea of leaving your laptop behind when you're on the road, then you'll definitely want to consider adding GoToMyPC for iPad to your arsenal of apps. The download requires a subscription for the host computer, but it provides a simple remote view into your PC back home. Plus, setup is easy and fast. But is this app better than LogMeIn Ignition?...
Final words: While it isn't perfect, GoToMyPC for iPad generally works better than LogMeIn Ignition and Splashtop Remote. We wish it had Android support and that gestures worked better, but its setup process was the easiest. In addition, GoToMyPC has the smoothest screen refresh rate, and its interface is nice and clean. If you want to access your computer remotely, this app is your best bet.

Final words: With its ease of use, ability to be used anywhere you can get internet, and fully functional and compatible interface the GoToMyPC iPad app lives up to its billing. There are some other remote pc programs out there but none that translate between formats so cleanly. This app gets four and a half out of five.
