Reeder for iPad Review

bestreview Intro: Finding the perfect feed reader is more complicated than it might at first appear. Finding the right one for the iPad has proven even more challenging. There’s a delicate balance that must be achieved between style and substance, between the practical and the visually enticing. Developer Silvio Rizzi’s Reeder for iPad may straddle that fine line better than other readers out there, but it’s still not perfect...

Final words: In the end, Reeder’s speed, unique interface and overall simplicity make it hard not to recommend for anyone looking for a feed reader on the iPad. It is a bold step ahead for this genre of app.

Reeder Redefines Google Reader on the iPad. Reviewed.

Intro: The iPad has been available for 2 months today, and many users are still looking for a great application to catch up with Google Reader feeds. Sure we’ve reviewed a bunch of good apps here on MacStories such as Newsrack, NetNewsWire and Headline, but none of them can be described as the great piece of software that manages to show all the capabilities of the device it runs on. Don’t get me wrong, those are good applications. I’ve used Newsrack for about a month and, even though it looks like a bigger iPhone version, it definitely did its job fine. What I’m saying is that we’re still missing that application that shines in the App Store, the one you could describe as “the best”...

Final words: It may sound cheesy, but Reeder for iPad really is the best Google Reader client you can have on this device right now. Go ahead and purchase it! This is the start of the second wave of great iPad apps.

App Review: Reeder May Be the Best iPad RSS Reader Yet

Intro: For a device so perfectly suited to reading, whether news, magazines of the web, its surprising that the iPad hasn’t yet gotten a really first-class RSS newsreader. Reeder, a quirky RSS reader for the iPhone, was recently updated for the iPad and might be the best reader yet, although you’ll have to re-learn a few things and be prepared for some quirks, and maybe a few crashes...

Final words: You might have to put in a little work to learn its quirks, but once you have, you’ll find that Reeder is not just a great Google Reader client, it’s one of the most iPad-like third-party apps we’ve seen of any kind. $5.

App Review: Reeder for iPad

Intro: Anybody who visits a lot of websites knows the value of an RSS feed. A quick refresher for those who don’t know: an RSS feed is simply a list of articles and their content that is updated when a new article is published. It makes keeping track of new articles on the sites you visit simple. Almost all websites offer these and most browsers support them...

Final words: With it’s infinite customization options, Reeder is the perfect RSS app for those looking to just get their news without a whole bunch of other social networking distractions thrown in.

Reeder for iPad – App Review

Intro: Reeder for iPad was released about a week ago (see preview here), and the app instantly became a success – it became the top paid app for the iPad within days, and still enjoys a comfortable 15th position in our Apps Tracker...

Final words: What we liked: Simple, straightforward, and easy to navigate, the app is a great tool to stay up to date with all your favorite news outlets. What we didn’t like: You need to go to the Google Reader website to setup your feeds, as the app doesn’t let you add feeds on the fly – something that will hopefully be fixed in a later release. Also, the iPhone version is free. To buy or not to buy: If you are looking for a great RSS app for your iPad, search no more.

Reeder for iPad: a review

Intro: If you are consuming lots of feeds, chances are you are using Google Reader. Unfortunately, Google hasn’t come up with a nice iPad interface yet. The iPhone web interface works on the iPad, but it’s not really as good as it could be...

Final words: Reeder for iPad is a worthy substitute for the clean and polished Google Reader web-interface. Its strength is the quite sophisticated and polished user interface, combined with a great attention to details.

App review: Reeder for iPad

Intro: I already mentioned Reeder in the top 5 apps of 2010, but it definitely deserves a dedicated review. Reeder is a no-nonsense RSS reader for the iPad that is designed completely around Google Reader, the most used RSS service out there at the moment. It gives you a clear picture of what’s going on and the ability to go through feeds fast, unlike some of the other RSS readers out there that focus more on laid-back, casual RSS users...

Final words: Reeder is definitely not the most visually stunning app out there, but for RSS addicts it can be a life saver. In fact it’s so popular that someone ripped off the app design completely, duplicating it to every single detail and releasing as a new app. That sort of behavior is of course not tolerated and I won’t even say the name of the app, and it was even blocked from a few major services that Reeder support because of this. Reeder is definitely worth the they’re asking for it if you go through a lot of feed, especially if you already have a Google Reader account (which is required). If you just like to check the occasional feed, you might want to try one of the free readers.

Reeder for iPad review

Intro: While some hold up Pulse as the best way to access RSS feeds – stripped-down, automatically refreshed website content that you usually subscribe to for free – it's a little too lightweight for us. It's fine if you only have a dozen or so feeds coming in, but if you follow a lot more than that, Reeder is the app for you...

Final words: It's terrifically configurable too. You can toggle off some of the many sharing options, change what grade of items is downloaded and much more.

iPad App Review: Reeder for iPad

Intro: If you own an iPad then there is quite a high chance that one of the apps that you will look for is an RSS reader. If you have done this since you have bought your iPad you may have found that finding one is not as easy as you thought it would be. The problem isn’t that there is a lack of these in the app store, the problem is that there is a lack of high quality ones. Reeder for iPad aims to solve this by offering a well made solution to accessing your RSS feeds, and we think it’s great...

Final words: Overall this is one of the best RSS readers for iPad that we have seen so far and it is available in the app store for just a few dollars.
