iDraw: Finally, Professional Vector Editing Comes to the iPad

bestreview Intro: Today we’re going to look at one of the most powerful vector illustration applications you’ll find on the App Store: iDraw. This excellent app goes well beyond providing you with a few simple brushes and gives you the power to create professional quality artwork on your iPad using many of the same tools you’re used to on a desktop computer. We’ll go over why it’s different than the other drawing apps you’ve seen and dive into the rich feature set so you can get the full story before you decide whether or not to make the purchase...

Final words: iDraw is an excellent application and is really one of the first that I’ve used that made it feel like I had a professional layout tool on an iOS device. Aside from the few feature suggestions I made above, this app has everything I have been looking for and I come back to it daily for quick sketches that I can then export to Illustrator. I absolutely think that iDraw is worth the $9.99 price tag and definitely recommend that you give it a shot if you make your living as a designer or artist. You might also check out Freeform, a very similar with the same price point. I haven’t tried Freeform yet but it looks like the feature set might be a bit narrower, though I’m sure it has its strengths.

iDraw for iPad Review

Intro: We've had the opportunity to play and test out the new iDraw app for iPad and we thought it would be a good idea to share our thoughts and experiences here on our blog. If you're not already familiar, iDraw is a powerful, mainly vector-based layout and design application for the iPad. (We thought this might be a more appropriate post for the Vecteezy blog, but that's not quite ready yet, sorry!) The app has a clean interface and a host of features that allow you to create and then modify shapes, drawings, type, and image elements...

Final words: In summary, if you are an InDesign or Illustrator fan who's looking for something similar on the iPad, this app comes very close. With similar features found inside both apps, iDraw brings the best of vector-based imaging, type, and even photo-insertion to the iPad with a great looking interface and excellent usability.

iDraw for iPad, Your Illustrator for iPad

Intro: The iPad has practically exploded with lots of great drawing applications. We can sketch, we can illustrate, and we can paint our expressions across a glass canvas. iDraw for iPad gives you some well rounded functionality for sketchers and illustrators alike. Featuring the pencil, bezier pen, shapes, layers, gradients, and text tools, iDraw makes it easy to anyone to reveal their inner photoshop...

Final words: With my masterpiece complete: here’s the final verdict. The tools work great, with the exception of the pen bezier that takes some getting used to on the iPad. A lot of your illustrator options are available (I didn’t particularly apply them all) such as stroke and line coloring. Gradients can also be applied to selected objects, and overall things went smoothly as far as tools go. iDraw itself has some bugs to work out between an occasional crash, but I was willing to work with it for the sake of producing some fantastic fan art for our site.

iDraw Review

Intro: Graphic artists and designers looking for a vector-based drawing solution for their iPads might want to take a look at iDraw from Indeeo. It’s a solid vector-based drawing app that lets anyone create good-looking designs...

Final words: All in all, iDraw offers up a robust and user-friendly tool for creating designs, mock-ups, and illustrations. It also appears to be well-supported, as a variety of important features have been upgraded or included in recent updates. Professionals should find it to be a handy tool for on-the-go design, and amateur artists, too, might find some value in the ease with which iDraw lets them create vector-based images.

Review : iDraw for iPad

Intro: My brother and I have been looking for an app that would allow us to create images and graphics while on the go instead of simply consuming them. When he saw iDraw he knew immediately that I needed to try it and see if it would fit our needs...

Final words: I still suggest that iDraw is a worthy app for the iPad. It works well, and makes great use of the tools provided. Sure, it’s missing a few things, but so far the developer has been pretty great about adding features and I would bet these are on the way pretty soon. iDraw obviously doesn’t have everything that Adobe Illustrator does, and may appear a bit pricey, but for iPad use, on the go, it’s sensational and is definitely worth a look. Highly recommended.

iDraw Gets A Major Update, Total Redesign

Intro: One of iTunes’ most popular illustration apps, iDraw by Indeeo, Inc. has just released its biggest update thus far. With version 1.2, the vector drawing app has been redesigned from top to bottom to incorporate more of the iPad’s functionality and have a faster interface...

Final words: iDraw is the most comprehensive vector drawing app available for iOS and is reasonably priced at $8.99 in iTunes. The developers are constantly updating to improve the overall performance and add more features as suggested by users. While version 1.2 has improved the app from the ground up,it is not the first time Indeeo Inc has significantly updated the app and it surely will not be the last time.
