Articles for iPad Review
Intro: Having already reviewed Wikipanion Plus, we were curious to see what this other popular paid Wikipedia app had to offer. As it turns out, the apps have a lot in common, something likely hard to avoid when all an app does is browse Wikipedia. What separates the app from the pack is the unique presentation and some handy zooming tools. Nevertheless, it's not without its share of issues...
Final words: All in all, if you're looking for a nicely featured, cheap Wikipedia app, you'll find a lot to like. Its appearance sets it apart, and it does a lot of things right. Some obvious omissions and performance issues, though, make Wikipanion still our preferred app when it comes to tapping into the combined knowledge of the world.

Articles for iPad: Wikipedia Where It Was Meant To Be
Intro: Some applications make more sense on the iPad, some don’t. When I first reviewed Articles from Sophiestication in its iPhone version, I said it was the best Wikipedia app for iPhone out there. I still think it is, as no other application has managed to get even near to the sheer amount of quality Sophia has put into that tiny Wikipedia client. But one could argue whether the iPhone is any good for reading, and that’s a complete different story. Once you try an iPad, you realize how much it is better for reading and consuming content than the iPhone, which is meant for accessing that content on the go...
Final words: The app itself is pretty straightforward: you can read Wikipedia articles, open multiple Safari-like pages at once for every link you stumble upon, add an entry to your bookmarks and create folders. Pretty much like the iPhone version, it’s easy to organize articles and it’s easy to retrieve them later. You can open the images embedded in articles and this iPad iteration also makes a better use of the Wikipedia right sidebar with all the info about a specific entry.

Review : Articles for iPad
Intro: As an educator I cringe when I hear that kids turn to Wikipedia for their facts and information. However as a technology geek I also realize that as a tool it’s invaluable and there is a time and a place for using it. Researching for a term paper might not be the right place, but finding out about a city, a painting, or maybe a musical artist could be. So I set out to find an app that helped with using Wikipedia on iPad in a way that was pleasing, simple, and useful...
Final words: Articles for iPad isn’t for everyone. Those who don’t use Wikipedia are not going to be interested in the app, it’s more for power users of the online encyclopedia. However, if that is you, it is worth a look, as Articles for iPad is a nicely put together Wikipedia reading app.

Articles for iPad Review
Intro: Okay, now that the iPad has been out for nearly two weeks, it’s time to get to our app reviews. We’re kicking things off with a review of Articles for iPad. Articles is a Wikipedia browser designed for the iPad’s large screen. Now you may be wondering, why have Articles when you can browse Wikipedia using Safari for free? Find out why after the break...
Final words: Since the iPad you can purchase now (as of April 16th) only has Wi-Fi, Articles for iPad saves recently viewed articles to access when offline. Perfect for a research project while on the road. The app also has a wonderful paper-like design, but it does need some tweaking. There is no table of contents navigation, so you either have to double-tab and drag for the special index control, or flick continuously until you find what you want.

Now, there is a way to search through Wikipedia articles with great ease on your iPad as there has now been the Articles iPad app released for the iPad...

Articles for iPad – Review
Intro: You use Wikipedia, don’t you? Of course, you do. And since you own an iPhone, iTouch, or iPad, chances are you use the stock app, Safari, for browsing the Web on your device. It’s also highly probable that you access Wikipedia using Safari instead of using a third-party app aimed specifically at pulling information from Wikipedia and displaying it using a supposedly more readable interface because perhaps you can’t be bothered with downloading any app of that sort when you’re doing just fine with Safari displaying Wikipedia’s mobile version, right? If your answer to that last question is "yes," then I bet you haven’t heard of this new Wikipedia app I’ve been using. It’s called Articles, and it’s rather excellent...
Final words: All in all, Articles is an impressive app. The interface is very clean and familiar and it also runs very smoothly. I have a few problems with most of the app’s novelties, but they’re just minor ones. Don’t get me wrong, Articles is an excellently designed app. If it weren’t, I wouldn’t have abandoned the Safari app for my Wikipedia needs in favor of this one.
