According to the news of Focus Taiwan, Apple is planning the presentation of iPad 3 on 24th February, the birthday of Steve Jobs.
In Cupertino, Apple would, by all means, like to bring forward the date of iPad 3 presentation from the date of March mentioned in earlier rumors, and also they urge the suppliers of the company.
The Chinese New Year celebrations make a serious issue to the Chinese partners of Apple, for example Foxconn, because life stops for several days at this time of the year. The celebrations this year are on 23rd of January, therefore employees can take their usual holidays at an earlier or a later time. Of course, the restriction only affects the iPad division employees, they can take up to 5 free days off work around the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Similarly to the employees of Foxconn, several employees of the iPad battery supplier Simplo Technology, the connector supplier Amer International Group and the camera supplier Genius Electronic Optical will be affected by the increased manufacturing activity during the celebrations.
According to the news, to avoid a serious lack of supply Apple would like to produce at least 4 million pcs of iPad 3 until the market release.
iPad 3 would not be the first product of Apple to be released on Steve Jobs' birthday. This year the upgraded MacBook Pro appeared on the shelves of stores on 24th February.
