Plenty of conflicting rumors appeared about the next generation iPad tablet during recent weeks. One thing common in the released news is that almost certainly iPad 3 will have a higher resolution display called Retina Display, but it is controversial in the news whether the device will be thicker or thinner.

According to iLounge's information, the price of the higher resolution display will be a thicker device, because the Retina Display needs a dual LED light bar, which requires more space. iLounge claims that Apple might officially announce the high resolution display in January, so that developers will be able to prepare for that, and they claim the release date of iPad 3 and the distribution time will be next March.

According to DigiTimes, Samsung and Sharp have already started the production of the next generation iPad display, earlier in October, so that the introduction of a completely new technology will surely be trouble-free by next March. Apple is expected to start distribution with a starting supply of 4-5 million pcs of iPad 3.

The new display will be the greatest feature of the next generation iPad, also, it's not worth dealing with the speed of the processor either, because the user experience with iPad 2 is appropriate as well, but the display resolution still needs to be developed compared to iPhone 4 Retina Display.

The prestigious business magazine Forbes claims that Sharp will be the manufacturer of the new high resolution display, which will be more energy efficient and will take up less space so the device will be thinner than its predecessor.

As usual, again we don't know anything for sure, but as spring approaches there will be more and more leaking information and rumors, however we will get clear answers to our questions only the moment the presentation takes place.
